Two dynamical models for galaxies are adapted to the case of slowly rotating spheroidal stellar systems. The projected mass density, velocity dispersion and rotation velocity are derived for a cluster seen edge-on. Isotropic and anisotropic velocity distributions are considered. The models are applied to kinematical observations of the globular clusters M2, M3, 47 Tucanae, and ω Centauri. The three clusters with appreciable rotation are flattened along their kinematical minor axis.
