The relative role of the convective drift of particles along the spiral interplanetary magnetic field B during radial plasma expansion is clarified. A calculation is made of particle energy losses due to overtaking collisions with scatterers situated along and across B. It is shown that the particle kinetic equation includes all regular motions of particles directed along as well as across B. On this basis, general expressions are formulated for the components of the particle anisotropy tensor in the coordinate system connected with B, with allowance for the electric and magnetic drift of particles and particle motion along B.
