The UV wind lines of the O7.5 III(n)((f)) star, ξ Per, are known to display cyclical time variability with a period that is closely linked to its rotation period. We have obtained Chandra High Energy Transmission Grating data for this star to determine whether its X-ray flux is also modulated by stellar rotation. We demonstrate that its X-rays are, indeed, variable, that the variability might be associated with the rotation period, and discuss the implications of such a connection. We also present and discuss the mean Medium Energy Grating X-ray spectrum of the star.
