Stimulated by the suggestion that the progenitors of millisecond pulsars are low-mass X-ray binary systems, the authors have surveyed a dozen relatively nearby globular clusters with the VLA in a search for fast pulsar candidates. In general, the number of detected radio sources is consistent with that expected from background source counts; the one source found within 1 cluster core radius does, however, have an anomalously steep radio spectrum and deserves follow-up observation. The implications of the results for millisecond pulsar formation scenarios are discussed.
