In a previous paper an examination was conducted of the orientations of galaxies in the Local Supercluster and evidence was found for the presence of a weak non-random effect, the galaxies being preferentially aligned along the Local Supercluster plane. Correlations were found between the presence of this alignment effect and the shape and Supergalactic latitude of the galaxies. In this paper, this result is examined further using the galaxy morphological types and the observations of spiral galaxy winding directions of Yamagata et al. (1981) in a search for other non-random trends. A tendency is found for galaxies of type Sab-Sc to be less concentrated towards the Local Supercluster plane than spirals of other types, to preferentially show the non-random alignment effect and to show a higher preponderance of winding direction 's' over 'reversed s'. Furthermore, among these intermediate-type spirals there is evidence for a dependence of spiral winding direction on Supergalactic hemisphere. The results are discussed in the context of theories for the formation of galaxies.
