Available rocket ozone data at Woomera (31 deg S, 136 deg E) and Kagoshima (31 deg N, 131 deg E) were analyzed to construct mean profiles. A comparison of the two profiles indicates the higher ozone concentrations at Woomera originating mainly in the summer season. The results are of particular interest in the light of an earlier study indicating mesospheric O2 concentrations at Woomera to be somewhat lower compared to the northern latitudes.
