Consideration is given to correlation curves in the X-ray color-color diagrams of bright low-mass X-ray binaries, particularly GX 5-1 and Cyg X-2. In order to observe the spectral change along these curves, model spectra consisting of the sum of a hard and a soft component, approximating the X-ray emission from the neutron-star surface and the accretion disk, are adopted. The physical parameters involved in the model spectra are determined by fitting the model spectra to the observed color-color and color-intensity diagrams of GX 5-1 and Cyg X-2. The conclusion given by Mitsuda et al. (1984) that in the normal branch the temperatures of the hard and the soft components remain stable, whereas the emission area increases from the lower left to the upper right, is confirmed.
