The possibility is considered that some quasars are ejected from the centers of galaxies and that the redshift difference between quasars and their associated galaxies is due to a Doppler shift. It is shown that the fact that only redshifts, and no blueshifts, are seen in quasar spectra could be explain by some powerful selection effects, and that the problem of energy requirements for ejecting quasars does not exist in the relativistic singleshot process of ejecting black holes. Thus, it cannot be excluded that at least some of the observed quasar-galaxy associations are real and that their large redshift differences are due to the high speeds of the ejected quasars.
