The paper examines aspects of ballistic support for the Intershock experiment: selection of the optimal satellite orbit, simulation of the intersection by the satellite trajectory of the surface of the earth's bow shock, and an analysis of the satellite motion with respect to the center of mass. Results are presented on the determination of the position of the bow shock in the course of Prognoz-10-Intercosmos flights during April-November 1985.
