We present Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer spectra of Knot D in the Vela supernova remnant. Knot D is one of the six bow-shock shaped features that lie beyond the nominal boundary of the remnant and are thought to have been formed by fast moving clumps of ejecta. The spectra were obtained at different distances behind the the projected apex of Knot D. O VI λ λ1032 ,1038 emission lines are detected in all the spectra, and their velocity profiles are well resolved. The radial velocities of the approaching and receding components of the O VI emission provide a clear kinematic signature of a bow-shock. These velocities, along with the line intensities allow us to place constraints on the shape and velocity of the bow-shock.
