As bright and compact objects, protoplanetary disks are excellent targets for an interferometer. I will review several notable and recent results obtained with the SMA including resolved images and modeling of TW Hydrae and AB Aurigae, evidence for disks around young massive stars, mass measurements of the Orion proplyds, and an evolutionary study of the gas dissipation timescale in planet forming disks.
