We propose to apply the microlensing method to study the spatial structure of the optical and X-ray continuum emission regions of distant quasars by comparing the flux ratios of the images in the X-ray and optical over several epochs. The differential changes in the flux ratios with wavelength will then constraint the relative sizes of the optical and X-ray emission regions.
