Observations carried out in 1984 to prove the existence of a meteor shower associated with the comet Sugano-Saigusa-Fujikawa 1983 V are discussed. The presence of this shower is demonstrated by the increase of hourly rates in three duration groups in the expected time interval. This finding was also confirmed by the subsequent range-time analysis of meteoric activity observed within the time interval in question. The activity pattern which was observed cannot be produced by any known shower.
