We present the first results of a deep radio survey of the CDF-S SWIRE field. An area of approximately 3 square degrees surrounding the CDF-S has been imaged at 20 cm using the Australia Telescope Compact Array, reaching an rms of about 30 microJy with a spatial resolution of about 6 arcsec. It is hoped that additional observations will reduce the rms even further.
In this first data release, we have performed SWIRE and optical identifications of over 800 of the stronger radio sources in the field, and discuss their properties, and the implications for galaxy evolution.
