The central galaxy of the Perseus cluster is surrounded by a large nebula of optical and UV line-emitting filaments. Treating the filaments as streamlines, we will present velocity fields showing that the nebula traces a massive, buoyancy-driven outflow from the central galaxy. We will discuss the implications of this outflow on the galaxy's evolution and show evidence of direct interaction between the central galaxy and the surrounding intracluster medium through the optical nebula.
