The double-subtraction observation technique employed to detect the Suniaev-Zel'dovich effect is presented with respect to its use in the radio lobes of 0742 + 318, 1721 + 343, 2221 - 02, and 2349 + 32. The procedure is described, and the results show that the jet minimum pressure is always exceeded by the upper limit on the radio lobe pressure from the effect. Magnetic pressure is therefore not required to confine the jets, and the upper limits on the jet Mach number are set relative to an intergalactic medium by utilizing the pressure limits, the adiabatic shock condition, and the estimated pressure of the intergalactic medium.
