In this chapter we will understand the solar system better. It is comprised of the sun, planets (including the Earth), other smaller bodies (which include comets and asteroids) as well as the interplanetary medium. What are these stars? How are they different? How big are they? How do they move? What are they made of? What is their origin? At the present time, man can answer some of these questions with a degree of certainty. In the next sections we will present a little of what is known about the solar system.
