On 29 nights from October 1978 to October 1979, the nova V1668 Cyg was observed spectroscopically (near the H-alpha line at 20-A/mm dispersion) and photometrically (in the U, B, V system) with the 125-cm and 60-cm Crimean telescopes. On three nights continuous measurements were made for 5-6h in an unsuccessful search for short-term light fluctuations. The H-alpha emission profiles observed in the nova spectrum are compared with Boyarchuk and Gershberg's theoretical calculations.
