The properties of a fine-grid hydrodynamic stellar model showing intermittent bursts have been studied. The maximum brightness is not very much affected during the burst phase, although the maxima of the total kinetic energy of oscillation and the photospheric velocity clearly increase. The most remarkable feature concerning the observational properties for the burst phase is a decrease in the minimum brightness. We discuss the nature of RV Tauri stars based on the obtained results.
