In order to compare quasi-equilibrium gravitational clustering theory with N-body simulations having broad continuous mass spectra, new sets of 10,000-body experiments with Schechter-type mass spectra are generated and the effects of different values of p, mass range, and cosmic densities, are examined. The patterns thus obtained exhibit more structure than in the comparable single- or two-component simulations. It is suggested that the peculiar velocity fields of galaxies may indicate the relation between luminous galaxies and a distribution of underlying dark matter.
