The study derives improved photometric orbits and apsidal motion
parameters on the basis of new observations of V523 Sgr (F0 + F). Of the
well-known eclipsing binaries, AY Cam appears to be the most similar in
stellar physical properties. V and B magnitudes of V523 Sgr are listed.
