We have previously considered the generation of purely longitudinal magnetohydrodynamic tube waves by external turbulent convection and derived general formulas for the source function and for the wave energy fluxes. In this paper, we present an improved treatment of the generation of such tube waves, based on a more sophisticated description of the turbulence and more refined calculations. These improvements allow us to compute and discuss in greater detail the spectra and fluxes of longitudinal tube waves generated in the solar convective zone.
