We present ISOPHOT oversampling maps for 8 interacting pairs at 60, 100 and 160 μ m. This sample was selected rather objectively to include spiral-spiral pairs with apparently overlapping optical disks. In most cases, we can clearly resolve the FIR emission from the components of each pair. Although still limited in spatial resolution ( ~ 40" at 60 μ m), these observations represent a big step forward in both FIR sensitivity and resolution compared with the IRAS results. We also compared radio continuum maps and other multiwavelength observations with the FIR intensity and color maps in order to measure the interaction-induced starburst process in these systems. This work was supported by NASA grant for ISO data analysis.
