Multi-wavelength observations of radiation we receive following Gamma-ray bursts have greatly advanced our understanding of these enigmatic explosions. I will describe recent observations and discuss what we have learned about these bursts from them. In particular, I will discuss the evidence that at least in a few cases the explosions are highly beamed. The total amount of energy release in these explosions and the nature of the underlying object will also be discussed.
