Nuclear statistical quasi-equilibrium is discussed, with temperature, density, and neutron excess considered as variable factors. The sum of the quasi-equilibrium-group nuclide abundances can also be an independent parameter for the quasi-equilibrium abundance distribution. A differential equation is obtained for the sum, in order to describe the nuclear-reaction kinetics in the quasi-equilibrium approximation.
