Photoelectric observations of Z And in the UBVRJHKLMN system in 1978-1980, when the star was in a quiet state (V is approximately const), showed the presence of oscillations of UV emission coinciding in phase and length of period with the brightness oscillations of Z And in the active state. The star's IR brightness underwent small ((Delta J of about 0.3 m) fluctuations uncorrelated with the oscillations in UV emission. In the 10 micron region a variable IR excess was discovered, the magnitude of which is also unconnected with the UV emission of Z And. Estimates are given for the physical parameters of the individual components of the Z And system: the hot star, the cool star, and the ionized gas.
