Electron density distribution values are used to evaluate the basic parameters of the Molonglo pulsars, and the determinations are compared with data in published catalogs. The pulsar luminosity function is then investigated on the basis of this statistical material, and the results are discussed. The statistics are found to be fitted by a power law somewhat more complex than those obtained in earlier studies, with the exponent varying from 1.6 to 1.9 as the luminosity increases from about 3 x 10 to the 26th ergs/sec up to the maximum luminosity observed. The function breaks at less than 3 x 10 to the 26th ergs/sec, suggesting that the radio luminosity of pulsars turns off when they approach the age of about ten million years.
