Five red supergiants of the globular cluster NGC 330 of the SMC were studied using medium-resolution spectra (~5A), through the perturbation method of Cayrel et al. (1991). The G-band region was synthesized for deriving their carbon abundances, and these were compared to previous results obtained from high resolution spectra. A metallicity [M/H]=~-0.67, and a mean carbon abundance of ɛ(C)=7.7 are found for the 5 stars.
