A relation is obtained between the photon emissivity in the 0.511-MeV line and the gamma-ray continuum resulting from suprathermal-positron annihilation. Comparison with the observational data imposes a quite stringent constraint on the spectrum of the positrons being injected into the formation region of the 0.511-MeV annihilation line observed in the galactic-center direction.
