The original transformation equations to the four-color system given by Crawford and Barnes (1970) are discussed, and a simple revision for the metal index is proposed. Transformation problems in cases where B and A stars need to be included in the solutions are considered, and revised equations are suggested. Transformations in (v-y) and (u-b) are also discussed, and the effect of the proposed revisions on the primary eclipse light curve of a totally-eclipsing Algol binary is demonstrated.
