An accurate determination of the spectral type in any star fixes its position in the H-R diagram; this becomes important when establishing a period-luminosity-color relation (PLCR), which is useful in distance calibration or when modeling stellar interiors. Spectroscopic observations from two Mexican observatories were used as the data for a reclassification of several delta-Scuti stars. Since the new spectral types assigned differed significantly from previous ones for a few stars, and thus for the absolute magnitude value changes, new positions in both the H-R and PLCR diagrams had to be obtained. It is shown that changes in the spectral types in delta-Scuti stars were small enough that the pulsation changes were masked by the low dispersion used (125 A/mm).
