Some new contributions to the theory of the early universe are summarized, emphasizing possible failures of the standard model as well as connections between cosmology and particle physics. Contributions bearing on the relict photon radiation, on nucleosynthesis, and on baryosynthesis are discussed. Publications bearing on the magnetic monopole problem and on the initial cosmological singularity are evaluated in the context of elementary particle phase transitions, and the effects of low mass neutrinos on the formation of galaxies and other bound systems are discussed.
