It is shown, by a simple argument, that in any {2 2} (i.e. type D) vacuum space-time, the complex component of the Weyl curvature (spinor Ψabcd) along any light ray is precisely proportional tor -5, wherer is the standard Schwarzschild radial coordinate, or its natural complex generalization for the arbitrary {2 2} case.
