Proton 3 and 4, and Cosmos-490 data on electrons with energies of hundreds of MeV in near-earth space at heights of 200-500 km are examined. Energy spectra obtained for different conditions of observation are presented, and experimental data are compared with theoretical calculations. It is shown that the measurement results are explained well by the pion-muon-electron decay mechanism.
