The apparatus of perturbation theory is developed for determining the influence of differential rotation on the natural oscillations of a gas-liquid planet or star. The influence of all rotation effects - Coriolis forces, centrifugal forces, and ellipticity - is studied within the framework of a unified second-order perturbation theory. Numerical calculations of the oscillation spectra of Jupiter and Satu
