A simple method is proposed for reconstructing the density distribution in the outer regions of a thermal radio source from the form of its continuum at low frequencies. The method is applied to the sources W49A, ON 1, and the Orion Nebula. In the Orion Nebula envelope the density falls off quadratically, with a discrete change about 0.5 pc from the center. This method might also prove useful for studies of the galactic-center region.
