Solutions are obtained to the field equations of Einstein-Cartan theory, describing the homogeneous isotropic distribution of spinning dust. In contradistinction to previous interpretations, the present interpretation asserts that the spin distribution of the particles is chaotically disordered. In addition, it is stated that nonzero quadratic terms of spin density (torsion) remain after averaging. It is shown that there is an analogy between the cosmological torsion of space-time and the Lambda term.
