A radial velocity curve of Zeta Aur is derived using spectrographic plates obtained on 11 nights during the 1979/1980 eclipse. The plates SA833 and SA839 taken during the total eclipse give the radial velocity of the K-star, and the chromospheric lines on the plates SA827 and SA845 show the contribution from the lower chromosphere of the K-star. The radial velocity on SA827 is noticeably lower just before the total eclipse, and results are in general agreement with previous measurements.
