As part of a project aimed at determining C, N and O abundances in a number of G and K giant stars, spectra of the red (2,0) CN band have been observed. The observations were carried out with the 1.2 meter telescope at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, Victoria. A 120 A was observed with a 1024 Reticon diode array refrigerated by liquid nitrogen at a spectral resolution of 0.25 A. The spectra were calibrated for wavelength, corrected for the influence of telluric water vapour lines, and rectified to a continuum. Tables of equivalent widths for selected (C-12)N and atomic lines are given. The error in an equivalent width is typically + or - 8 m A when compared with independent measurements by others. As a corollary to the water vapor correction procedure, high precision radial velocities (+ or - 0.5 km/s) have been derived.
