The radial velocities given by the M 6 III photospheric lines and by the 'non-photospheric lines' are measured from the start of the outburst of 1977 to June 1981 (spectral range 3400-6700 A; spectral resolution approximately 0.2 A). No evidence is found either of a hypothetical hot companion or of an accretion disk; the radial velocities given by the Balmer absorption cores, the Ca II absorption cores, the permitted and forbidden emission lines of Fe II, the forbidden lines of O I, S II, Ni II, and Cu II indicate effects of stratification in the envelope.
