The Einstein Observatory was used to obtain X-ray images of fields centered on three very bright single-line spectroscopic binaries, Pi-5 Ori, Theta-2 Cru, and 112 Her. Three-sigma upper limits for the X-ray luminosity of these objects greater than about 200 times lower than earlier estimates are presented and the implications for the presence of a compact secondary in any of these objects are discussed. None of the three binaries is detected as an X-ray source, making the presence of a compact secondary highly unlikely. A cluster of galaxies, A 520, has been detected as an X-ray source lying nearly 28 arcmin from Pi-5 Ori.
