Variable Star-Iras Sources

Scientific paper

IRAS 14122-5947 is a newly discovered variable star. Its Ic amplitude is more than 5.5 mag and its period may be either 1935 d or 3930 d. Its near infrared spectrum is similar to those of OH/IR stars and it has a cool dust envelope. Fitting with SED model gives a mass loss rate of 3.6-6Msolar/yr at the last stage of AGB. We believe it to be at the last stage of AGB with intermittent mass loss.
