The radial linear stability of a transonic α-viscosity accretion disk around a black hole is investigated using a polytropic equation of state. Radial velocity of the accretion flow is considered when deriving the perturbed dispersion relation. The accretion flow becomes unstable when the viscosity parameter α is greater than a critical value αc which is determined by the polytropic index n and the radial velocity of the flow.
