We propose to use HST's high spatial resolution imaging capabilities at optical and UV wavelengths to study the spectral energy distributions of the two components in close binary T Tauri stars. This will allow us to determine (1) how much of the previously observed UV excess can be attributed to the stellar continuum of a secondary source as opposed to disk accretion, (2) if the excess remains, whether or not both components or only one show evidence for a circumstellar disk and (3) whether or not dips in the spectral energy distribution are created by the presence of two stars with different apparent temperatures.
