An objective prism survey for Hα-emission-line stars towards the HII regions RCW 27, 32 and 33 and the northwestern parts of the Vela Molecular Ridge is presented. 278 Hα-emitting objects have been found and their relation to the HII regions and to dark clouds in the area is discussed. We identify what appears to be two new large associations of T Tauri stars, Vela T1 and T2, at a distance of 1 kpc. The relation of low-mass Hα-emission stars with the Vela Molecular Ridge is discussed.
