We present results from a detailed investigation of the properties and evolution of X-ray clusters in a CHDM universe. The high-resolution simulation (Bryan et al. 1996) self-consistently evolved both gas and dark-matter on a 512(3) grid that was 50h(-1) Mpc on a side. The X-ray luminosity of the gas was calculated in the ROSAT bandpass assuming a Raymond-Smith thermal emission spectrum. X-ray clusters were identified in 3D and in projection in order to evaluate the importance of projection effects. In addition, the evolution of individual clusters was followed in order to estimate merger rates, to assess the importance of mergers on the development of substructure and to estimate the prevalence of substructure at various epochs.
