We present high resolution (lambda /3300) far-ultraviolet spectra of ~20 early-type stars observed with the Berkeley spectrometer during the ORFEUS-I mission in September of 1993. Most of our targets are significantly more distant than those studied with Copernicus; the majority show strongly detected features of Lyman and Werner band absorption from H_2. We present H_2 column densities and excitation temperatures, and explore correlations with other tracers of molecular gas such as EB-V and, at high latitudes, the intensity of the diffuse background at 100 microns. This work is supported by NASA grant NAG5-3019.
