Optical Testing: Methods Of Reduction

Scientific paper

An algorithm is described for plotting the topography of an optical surface at the intersections of a square grid when the Ronchi method is used for the testing of large optical components. It is proposed in particular to use one-dimensional cubic Hermitian polynomials for an interpolation of the normal deviations at the intersections of the square grid, and a procedure is considered for a correlation of the horizontal and vertical profiles.
