The paper presents new processed Earth-based telescopic observing of Mercury based on large number of electronic images of Mercury centered on a region of the planet that has not been imaged by the two MESSENGER mission fly-bys made in 2008 (but a small overlapping area). The high-resolution images of the 270°-355°W longitude sector of Mercury were obtained. The images presented in the paper cover a considerable portion of Mercury's surface. In the analyzed sector of 260°-350°W, interesting relief features such as the S Basin and the "Medallion" crater appear. The overlapping area of the obtained image is compared with the MESSENGER data.
