With their high H I column densities, the Damped Lyman-(alpha) systems (DLAs) and sub-DLAs seen in the spectra of QSOs are thought to be closely related to galaxies. As these systems are selected based on their absorption properties, followup imaging is necessary and important to study the stellar component of these systems. The DLA systems are now well known to have low metallicities over all redshifts they are observed at (Z 0.10Z_sun), and follow up imaging studies reveal that most DLA host galaxies are faint,
